Description & Features
-
Brand: Auralia Medical Group.
-
Type: Upper-arm automatic blood pressure monitor. Fits cuff around the upper arm, inflates automatically.
-
Arrhythmia (or Irregular Heartbeat) Detection: It has a feature that alerts you if it detects signs of an irregular heartbeat or arrhythmia during measurement.
-
Automatic Measurement: Once you strap the cuff on your arm and switch it on, it runs the full cycle of inflation and deflation automatically, takes the BP and pulse readings without manual pumping.
-
Colour‐coded risk indicator: The monitor has a display that uses colour‐coding to indicate risk levels (e.g. green/yellow/red depending on reading severity). This helps you see at a glance whether your BP is in a safe range.
-
Pulse & Blood Pressure Readout: Measures blood pressure (systolic & diastolic) and pulse (heart rate). The arrhythmia detection is based on monitoring pulse irregularities.
How It Works in Practice
-
Preparing & Using
-
Place the cuff around upper arm — make sure it's at the same level as your heart. Sit quietly, rest a few minutes before taking a reading.
-
Switch it on. The machine inflates, measures, deflates.

Arrhythmia Detection Logic
-
While measuring blood pressure, the device checks for irregularities in the pulse waveform / intervals between beats. If the machine detects enough irregularity (beyond a threshold), it will trigger an alert or symbol that there might be an irregular heartbeat.
-
It's not a substitute for ECG or medical diagnosis. It's a screening tool — if the device flags irregular beat, you should see a healthcare professional for confirmatory testing.

-
Display & Alerts
-
You'll get the blood pressure values (systolic, diastolic), pulse rate.
-
If arrhythmia / irregular heartbeat is detected, there may be an icon or message indicating that.
-
The colour‐coding helps you interpret whether BP is within healthy ranges, elevated, or high risk.
-
Benefits
-
Enables regular home monitoring of blood pressure, which is helpful for managing hypertension.
-
The arrhythmia detection adds value: possible early detection of irregular rhythms (e.g. atrial fibrillation or other irregular beats) which often go unnoticed.
-
Automatic, quick & convenient. Good for people who want ease and speed, without needing manual inflation.
-
Colour coding helps non‐experts understand results visually.
Limitations & Things to Be Aware Of
-
Accuracy with irregular heart rhythms: When the heart is very irregular, readings may be less precise. False positives are possible (i.e. detects arrhythmia while none of clinical significance exists). The monitor is a screening tool, not a diagnostic device.
-
Movement artifacts: Moving, talking, not resting properly, or incorrect cuff position can affect both blood pressure and arrhythmia detection accuracy.
-
Cuff size & fit matters: If the cuff is too large or too small, or not placed correctly, readings may be off.
-
Battery / power and wear & tear: As with any electronic monitor, battery life, sensor drift over time, and the condition of the cuff can affect performance.
-
Not a replacement for medical advice / ECG: If the device flags arrhythmia, you should consult a medical professional.
